Cyanobacteria indicators
A composite view: phycocyanin, chlorophyll-a, and supporting variables (DO, pH, temperature) interpreted together to characterize bloom risk.
No single number tells the full bloom story. AquaRealTime's cyanobacteria indicator combines the direct pigment signal (phycocyanin) with total algal biomass (chlorophyll-a) and the environmental drivers that fuel blooms, namely warm, stratified, high-pH, oxygen-supersaturated surface layers. Read together, these channels distinguish a transient pigment spike from a true developing bloom and provide enough context for an operator to act with confidence.
