ORP
Oxidation-Reduction Potential, the net tendency of the water to oxidize or reduce dissolved species, in millivolts.
ORP is a composite electrochemical reading that captures the overall redox state of a water sample. It is invaluable wherever disinfection or chemical dosing matters (drinking water, pool and recreational systems, aquaculture, and certain wastewater processes) because a single ORP value tracks disinfectant effectiveness more reliably than chemical concentration alone. It also gives early warning of anoxic conditions in source waters and sediments.
