Pricing

The platform's versatile telemetry options are paired with a highly compelling investment structure:
* Flexible Hardware Purchase + Subscription: Secure the telemetry deployment hardware directly, coupled with an operational subscription for dashboard mapping and cloud access.
* Concierge 5-Year Plan: An all-inclusive premium option that integrates the entire platform into a unified, predictable 5-year service program.

Overview

The Sentinel is a lightweight, solar-powered surface telemetry buoy that powers a TrackerSonde multi-parameter sonde or a single sensor and streams its data in real time to the AquaRealTime online dashboard. It provides continuous, 24/7 water quality monitoring at depths from 40 cm to 30 m in lakes, reservoirs and ponds, without the delays of manual grab sampling.

The Sentinel is built on the same proven platform as the AlgaeTracker, with the same shape, durability and connectivity, but without built-in surface sensors. That makes it the lower-cost choice when you need water quality data at depth rather than at the surface.

Sensors and Parameters

The Sentinel carries either one TrackerSonde or one single sensor, positioned anywhere from 40 cm to 30 m deep.

The TrackerSonde holds up to six digital probes measuring up to 7 parameters at once, chosen from dissolved oxygen, pH, ORP, conductivity, salinity, turbidity, chlorophyll-a, phycocyanin (blue-green algae), oil in water and depth, with water temperature included. A central anti-fouling brush cleans all probes before each measurement.

Single sensor options include dissolved oxygen, turbidity, chlorophyll-a, phycocyanin, UV254 total organic carbon (TOC), total suspended solids (TSS) and dissolved organic matter (DOM). Each single sensor has its own self-cleaning brush. Readings are taken every 30 minutes.

Power

Solar-powered with internal battery for continuous operation.

Data and Connectivity

The Sentinel uses 4G LTE Cat-M1 cellular with automatic carrier switching, fully managed by AquaRealTime. Data streams to the AquaRealTime Dashboard, where live readings, historical charts and customizable Action Threshold alerts help you spot changes early. Built-in GPS tracks the buoy’s location and sends drift alerts if it moves.

Data can be exported as CSV files or pulled through a REST API into existing databases, SCADA systems and other third-party software.

Deployment and Maintenance

The Sentinel ships fully pre-assembled and is designed for a one-person install. At 4 kg (8 lbs) and 35 cm (14") in diameter, it is easy to deploy from a small boat or shoreline. The buoy typically goes from crate to live data in about 30 minutes, with roughly 30 more to attach the sonde or sensor, and no cellular provisioning or dashboard setup is required.

A robust solar and battery system provides up to two weeks of operation without sun, and a rugged hull keeps the Sentinel producing reliable data for long unattended periods. Onboard self-health diagnostics report battery, signal and sensor status, flagging any issue on the dashboard as soon as it occurs.

Each unit comes with our Rugged Rigging Package, including an inflatable ball buoy and stainless steel cabling. All you need to provide is an anchor or fixed object.

FAQs

What is the difference between the Sentinel and the AlgaeTracker?
Both use the same buoy platform. The AlgaeTracker has built-in surface sensors for chlorophyll-a, phycocyanin, turbidity, temperature and light. The Sentinel has no built-in sensors and instead carries a sonde or single sensor at depth, making it the lower-cost option when subsurface data is what you need.

How deep can the Sentinel measure?
The attached sonde or sensor can be positioned from 40 cm to 30 m deep (200 m version available).

How long can the Sentinel run without sun?
Up to two weeks.

What happens if the buoy drifts?
Built-in GPS tracks the buoy’s position and sends a drift alert through the dashboard.
